The Cellar Series Returns: Winemaker Dinners in Vancouver
Our Cellar Series is back for the season, opening with two winemaker dinners here at Provence Marinaside. Each pairs a bespoke menu from our chefs with wines poured and introduced by the people who make them. Tickets for both are on sale now.
A Nova Scotian Bluenoser with Lightfoot & Wolfville: Tuesday, November 3
This evening began with a visit our Wine Director, Joshua Carlson, made to Lightfoot & Wolfville in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley. Over wine, East Coast food and plenty of stories, the idea took shape: bring a little piece of Nova Scotia back to Vancouver.
Lightfoot & Wolfville is a family-owned, certified organic and biodynamic farm winery with roots going back eight generations. Its vineyards overlook the Minas Basin, where the Bay of Fundy's tides and cool breezes give the wines their freshness. Rachel Lightfoot, the winery's Viticulturist and the eighth generation of her family to work the land, will host the evening.
The five-course dinner opens with a reception glass of Brut 2020, then moves through East Coast oysters, lobster rolls on brioche, seared Digby scallops, chicken ballotine and a classic Nova Scotian blueberry grunt, each paired with a Lightfoot & Wolfville wine.

An Intimate Evening with Martin's Lane: Monday, November 23
Shane Munn, General Manager and Winemaker of Martin's Lane Winery, joins us for an intimate six-course dinner exploring Riesling, Pinot Noir and the Okanagan vineyards behind them.
The heart of the evening is a side-by-side tasting of three 2022 Pinot Noirs: Simes Vineyard with steak tartare, Naramata with seared duck breast, and DeHart Vineyard with Beef Wellington. Two Rieslings open the dinner alongside oysters, local uni and foie gras terrine.
We close with Julius 2025, a rare, very limited blend of Simes Vineyard Pinot Noir and Fritzi's Vineyard Riesling, served with British Columbia cheeses. Seating is deliberately limited.
Monday, November 23 | Six courses with wine pairings | $275 per person
